Goldman Sachs Adds IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Lucknow as Academic Partners for 10,000 Women Programme.

In September 2025, Goldman Sachs, an investment banking company, recently expanded its "Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women" initiative in India by adding Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Ahmedabad (Gujarat) and IIM-Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre (IIM-L EIC) (Uttar Pradesh, UP) as new academic partners to strengthen support for women entrepreneurs.
- The Nadathur S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), IIM Bangalore (Karnataka), has been a partner of the programme since 2008. With the new additions, the initiative now operates with three academic partners in India.
- The initiative aims to graduate 1,000 women entrepreneurs by 2026 and expand its participants from 3,800 to 10,000 by 2033, aligning with the Government of India (GoI)'s "Viksit Bharat 2047" vision for women’s economic empowerment and inclusive growth.
- The initiative provides business education, mentoring, networking, and access to capital to support women entrepreneurs in building sustainable businesses.
Main Point :- (i) In India, training is offered through academic partners such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, NSRCEL (IIM Bangalore), and online platforms like Coursera, making the programme accessible to participants worldwide.
(ii) By expanding academic partnerships and offering comprehensive support, the programme seeks to significantly enhance women’s participation in entrepreneurship, fostering inclusive growth and economic empowerment across India.
