The 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2025 was held from 22–23 September in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, under the theme “Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation.” The two-day event highlighted India’s digital governance roadmap and concluded with the adoption of the Visakhapatnam Declaration.
- The conference was co-hosted by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- The event was inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for MoPPG&P, along with N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
- The central theme for NCeG 2025 was “Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation,” focusing on strengthening digital governance and future-ready civil services.
Main Point :- (i) Union MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh conferred the National Awards for e-Governance (NAeG) 2025, recognizing 19 initiatives with 10 Gold, 6 Silver, and 3 Jury Awards across 6 categories, awarded to central, state, district authorities, gram panchayats, and academic institutions.
(ii) The conference concluded with the adoption of the Visakhapatnam Declaration, presenting a forward-looking roadmap for India’s digital transformation and inclusive e-Governance.
