Senior IAS officer Alok Kumar took charge as the new chief secretary of Tripura.

Tripura government abruptly removed senior IAS officer Manoj Kumar to appoint IAS officer Alok Kumar as new state chief secretary, Alok assumed charge. Manoj Kumar is transferred as special chief resident commissioner of Tripura Bhavan in New Delhi. Alok Kumar of 1990 batch IAS was earlier posted as additional secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat at New Delhi.
