India and Sri Lanka to Co-Host Inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup – Cricket for the Blind in November 2025.

India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup – Cricket for the Blind from November 11 to November 23, 2025. The announcement was made in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in the presence of Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage, officials from Sri Lanka’s Cricket Association for the Visually Handicapped, and representatives from the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI).
- The tournament is being organized jointly by the CABI and Sri Lanka’s Cricket Association for the Visually Handicapped, marking a major milestone in promoting blind women’s cricket internationally.
= The competition will feature teams from Australia, England, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the United States of America (USA). The format includes 21 league matches, followed by two semi-finals and a final to determine the champion.
Main Point :- (i) Venues – India Leg: The opening matches will be hosted in New Delhi, followed by games in Bengaluru, Karnataka, providing a platform for competitive blind women’s cricket across major Indian cities.
(ii) Venues – Sri Lanka Leg: The concluding matches, including the semi-finals, final, and the closing ceremony, will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, highlighting the collaborative spirit between the two countries in advancing women’s blind cricket.
