PM Narendra Modi Launches โ‚น5,100 Crore Development Projects in Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura to lay foundation stones and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over Rs. 5,100 crore. The initiatives focus on infrastructure development, economic reforms, and cultural preservation, aiming to bring sustainable growth to the Northeast.


      - Foundation stones were laid for two major hydropower projects in Itanagar, worth Rs. 3,700 crore. The Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW) will support renewable energy generation.

      - The foundation stone for the Tawang Convention Centre was laid. Situated at an altitude of over 9,820 feet, this facility will accommodate 1,500 delegates and promote tourism and cultural exchange.

      - A total of Rs. 1,290 crore was allocated for various infrastructure projects, including improved road networks, water supply, and medical facilities, as well as new accommodations for working women.

Main Point :-   (i) PM Modi launched the GST (Goods and Services Tax) 2.0 reforms and the GST Bachat Utsav to simplify the tax system and raise awareness about the benefits of the reforms, encouraging support for local indigenous products.

      (ii) The redeveloped Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur was inaugurated, with a project cost of Rs. 54 crore.

(iii) The project, under the PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive) scheme, includes new pathways and a three-story complex to enhance the pilgrimage experience.
