Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference (CCC) on September 15, 2025, at Vijay Durg (formerly Fort William), the headquarters of the Eastern Command of the Indian Army in Kolkata, West Bengal.


      - The three-day conference, held from September 15 to 17, 2025, was conducted under the theme “Year of Reforms: Transformation for the Future” and emphasized modernization and future readiness of India’s Armed Forces.

      - The 16th CCC deliberated on critical strategic issues such as force modernization, enhancing jointness among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and strengthening operational readiness for future multi-domain warfare scenarios.

      - PM Narendra Modi released the ‘Indian Armed Forces Vision 2047’, a comprehensive roadmap to transform the Indian Armed Forces into a modern, technology-driven, and integrated force aligned with the centenary of India’s independence in 2047.

Main Point :-   (i) The Service Chiefs announced the merger of the education branches of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force to form a unified Tri-Service Education Corps, aimed at streamlining training and academic standards across the three services.

      (ii) As part of the transformation agenda, the Armed Forces declared the setting up of three new Joint Military Stations within India. These will foster better coordination, resource optimization, and joint operational effectiveness across multiple domains.

(iii) The conference saw active participation from the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, senior commanders of the Armed Forces, and top officials from the Ministry of Defence.
