- The JICA funding aims to provide strong support for Aavishkaar Capital’s expansion into emerging markets of Asia and Africa, enabling SMEs to scale operations, access new markets, and enhance participation in global supply networks.
- This step is aligned with JICA’s broader mission to promote sustainable development and inclusive economic growth through private sector collaboration.
- The fund will primarily focus on SMEs engaged in critical industries such as agriculture, food processing, and manufacturing, which play a central role in global trade and supply chain sustainability. By providing capital and technical assistance, the initiative is designed to foster innovation, increase competitiveness, and promote environmentally and socially responsible practices among SMEs.
Main Point :- (i) One of the key objectives of this investment is to build supply chain resilience by extending financial support to SMEs that generate social, environmental, and impact-driven outcomes.
