Delhi Government Approves Launch of ‘Delhi Mitra’ App as Unified Public Grievance Redressal System.
App and Web Portal
In August 2025, the Delhi Cabinet led by Chief Minister (CM) Rekha Gupta approved the launch of the ‘Delhi Mitra’ application, an integrated Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) designed to provide citizens with a single-window platform for complaint resolution.
- The ‘Delhi Mitra’ app will serve as a one-stop platform for grievances linked to multiple authorities, including the Delhi Government departments, Delhi Police, Municipal Corporations (MCs), and the Delhi Cantonment Board. This integration eliminates duplication of systems and ensures faster grievance processing for citizens.
- Residents of Delhi will be able to register their complaints through four channels: a dedicated web portal, the mobile app, WhatsApp services, and a call centre facility
- Additionally, handwritten complaints submitted at government offices will be scanned, digitized, and uploaded to the system, ensuring inclusivity for citizens who prefer offline submissions.
Main Point :- (i) To strengthen accountability, the government will designate nodal officers in every department to monitor grievances and accelerate resolution. Public grievance officers will also organize weekly public meetings with citizens every Wednesday, creating a direct channel of dialogue between the administration and the public.
(ii) The launch of this digital-first PGRS highlights the Delhi Government’s focus on transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric governance. By integrating multiple agencies into one platform, the initiative is expected to significantly reduce delays, improve monitoring, and create a responsive government service delivery mechanism.
